Bowdoin College Silk Paperweight
Description
From 1910-1915, the American Tobacco Company offered small silk collegiate banners as an incentive premium in packages of Egyptienne Luxury Cigarettes. The series contained 150 colleges and universities with each silk containing the school's seal or coat-of-arms with its name below. Beautifully encased in a glass paperweight, these rare and colorful collector’s items make a great gift for students and graduates alike.
Each silk measures approximately 1 ¾” x 3 ¼” and is mounted on a base of blue striped oxford cloth fabric. Choose from 40 schools shown.
Bear in mind, the silks are antiques, so some variance in color and shape is to be expected.
Please allow up to 2 weeks to ship. As these items are made to order, they are considered to be final sale.
