Established in 1771, Gieves Ltd. is one of the oldest bespoke tailoring companies in the world. Gieves served as the official outfitters to the British Royal Navy following World War I. In 1809 Gieves was granted their first Royal Warrant during the reign of King George III. The brand also held a warrant by appointment to King Charles II when he was Prince of Wales. In 1974, the brand became Gieves and Hawkes. High-profile customers included Charlie Chaplin, J.P. Morgan, Sir Laurence Olivier, Winston Churchill, and more.
